Telefon Tel Aviv – Fahrenheit Fair Enough (40)

December 23, 2009

I believe I downloaded this from the Wire’s website years ago. For a moment my belief electronica died around 1997 was eroded, but strangely I never got around to searching out more from Telefon Tel Aviv. This is despite loving the cluttered percussion, and the snatches of guitar and the gentle organ phrase which beds the track.

Sadly, Telefon Tel Aviv also adds to the list of this decade’s RIP dedications as one half of the duo, Charles Cooper, died earlier this year in a manner eerily similar to Heath Ledger. All I know of his legacy is 6″40′ of lovely beats. It should have been more.
